    18U runs June 10th - July 28th

    8U- 15U runs August 3- September 22

    8 Game Schedule with the 8th Annual End Of Summer Champions Tournament

    Jerseys with numbers and baseball cap provided

    46/65 player Pitch 8U division: $120 Registration

    50/70 Player Pitch 12U division: $120 Registration

    60/90 Player Pitch 15U division: $120 Registration

    Player’s age on April 30, 2019 determines eligibility and playing age

    8U Division - Players who turn 9 prior to May 1 of the current season are not eligible unless they are in the 2nd grade. Also, any player turning 10 prior to September 1 will not be eligible. Players who are 8u are eligible for this division regardless of their grade.

    10U Division - Players who turn 11 prior to May 1 of the current season are not eligible unless they are in the 4th grade. Also, any player turning 12 prior to September 1 will not be eligible. Players who are 10u are eligible for this division regardless of their grade

    12U Division - Players who turn 13 prior to May 1 of the current season are not eligible unless they are in the 6th grade. Also, any player turning 14 prior to September 1 will not be eligible. Players who are 12u are eligible for this division regardless of their grade.

    15U Division - Players who turn 16 prior to May 1 of the current season are not eligible unless they are a freshman in High School. Also, any player turning 17 prior to September 1 will not be eligible. Players who are 15u are eligible for this division regardless of their grade

    18U Division Players who turn 19 prior to May 1 of the current season are not eligible unless they are a senior in High School. Also, any player turning 20 prior to September 1 will not be eligible. Players who are 18u are eligible for this division regardless of their grade.

Summer League Divisions

60’/90' 18U Division (Ages 16 / 17 / 18)

  • 7 innings game

  • no run rule per inning

  • 3 Innings max per pitcher (1 pitch to a batter constitutes an inning)

  • Courtesy runner allowed for catcher and pitchers (sub or last recorded out)

  • Base stealing and stealing home allowed

  • leading off

  • 2 hour time limit on weekday games (no new inning after the time limit has expired)

  • All games are played at Hartnell College during the weekdays ( Monday - Thursday )

  • Big Barrel -3 bats BBCOR & woods are only allowed

  • No metal baseball spikes

60’/90' 15U Division (Ages 13 / 14 / 15)

  • 7 innings game

  • no run rule per inning

  • 3 Innings max per pitcher (1 pitch to a batter constitutes an inning)

  • Courtesy runner allowed for catcher and pitchers (sub or last recorded out)Base stealing and stealing home allowed

  • leading off

  • No new inning after 1 hour 50 minutes (whichever comes first) with a 2 hour drop dead time limit.

  • All games are played at Manzanita Park during the weekdays ( Tuesday - Thursday )

  • Big Barrel -3 bats are only allowed

‘50/70’ 12U Division (Ages 11 / 12)

  • 6 innings game

  • 6 run rule per inning (once the 6th run scores, that ½ inning is completed)

  • 2 Innings max per pitcher (1 pitch to a batter constitutes an inning)

  • Courtesy runner allowed for catcher and pitchers (sub or last recorded out)

  • Base stealing and stealing home allowed

  • leading off

  • No new inning after 1 hour 40 minutes (whichever comes first) with a 1 hour and 50 minute drop dead time limit

‘46/65’ 10U Division (Ages 9 / 10)

  • 6 innings game

  • 6 run rule per inning (once the 6th run scores, that ½ inning is completed)

  • 2 Innings max per pitcher (1 pitch to a batter constitutes an inning)

  • Courtesy runner allowed for catcher ( sub or last recorded out )

  • Base stealing and stealing home allowed

  • leading off

  • No new inning after 1 hour 40 minutes (whichever comes first) with a 1 hour and 50 minute drop dead time limit

’46/65’ 8U Division (Ages 7 / 8)

All 8 games of the season will be played as kid pitch. (Tournament will be played as Kid Pitch)

  • 6 innings game

  • 5 run rule per inning (once the 4th run scores, that ½ inning is completed)

  • 2 Innings max per pitcher

  • Courtesy runner allowed for catcher and pitchers (last recorded out or sub)

  • No balk for pitchers but will protect runners ( if a balk occurs ,runners will be safe)

  • Leading off

  • Base stealing and stealing home allowed

  • No new inning after 1 hour 40 minutes (whichever comes first) with a 1 hour and 50 minute drop dead time limit

Additional Rules & Information

Game Preliminaries: 

  • A flip of a coin between the two teams shall determine the home team for each pool play game 

  • Teams may bat a nine (9) player line-up, 

  • or a nine (9) player line-up with a (DH), 

  • or a ten (10) player line-up with an Extra Hitter (EH), 

  • or a 10 player line-up up with a DH and EH, 

  • or a continuous line-up of all present, eligible, uniformed players. 

  • Such line-up must be declared before the start of the game and used the entire game. 

  • If a team uses a line-up that contains substitute players, all starting players may be removed and re-enter the game once but must re-enter in their original position in the batting order. 

  • Non-starters are not allowed to re-enter. 

  • When a starter re-enters, the player in the starter’s batting position in the batting order must be removed from the game and is ineligible for the remainder of the game. 

  • If a team uses a line-up that contains ten (10) players, the player in the Extra Hitter position has free defensive substitution. 
    If a team uses a continuous line-up, all players other than the nine (9) defensive position players are Extra Hitters and may move freely in defensive positions with the exception of the pitching position. 

  • Any player(s) arriving after the game has begun, shall be added to the bottom of the batting line-up. When using the continuous lineup and a player has to leave the game for any reason, that position in the line-up becomes an out when that at bat comes around.

    The Batter, Batter Runner & Runner:

  • An Intentional Walk may be issued upon announcement from either the pitcher or catcher without throwing pitches.

  • At any time, the offensive team may use a courtesy runner for the pitcher and catcher of record from the previous inning on defense. 

  • Whenever a tag play is evident, a runner must slide or seek to avoid contact with the fielder and / or catcher. Malicious contact shall supersede all obstruction penalties. Malicious contact is solely up to the discretion of the Umpire.

    A player removed from the pitching position (starting pitcher or subsequent relief pitcher) may not return to the pitching position for the remainder of the game

  • All players must have one at bat

  • All players must play at least 2 innings

  • Both teams are responsible for field prep before and after games

  • Field drags must be kept at least 2 feet away from any grass line

  • On weekdays, water down the infield grass at the conclusion of the game

  • Pick up all trash in each dugout and bleacher areas

  • No metal cleats allowed in Rookie and Minor divisions

  • Big barrel bats allowed in all divisions

  • Game balls provided

  • 1 game per week and double header weekend per team in schedule.

  • Umpire provided

  • There are no league boundaries. All players are welcome.

  • Team equipment (catcher gear, helmets, etc.) available on request

  • Scorebooks issued to each team

 

 

How to register?

 

It's simple. Online Registration  Click on Register, then select Central Coast Youth Baseball (Summer)  An email with further instruction will follow within 24 hours of registering.
